Auditions

Auditions will be held January 12-14, 2024, at University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, Oklahoma for our 2024 season of opera. We also will hear pre-recorded online auditions.

Deadlines for submission:

  • January 10 for in-person auditions

  • January 15 for video auditions

 

These auditions will primarily be used to cast:

  • Roles and chorus for The Flying Dutchman at the Little Theater at Civic Center Music Hall on June 20, 22, and 23

  • Roles and chorus for Lucia di Lammermoor at the Little Theater at Civic Center Music Hall on July 18, 20, and 21

  • Roles for Lizzie Borden (chamber version) at the Little Theater at Civic Center Music Hall on September 26, 28, and 29 

  • Some roles for a touring opera production for children performed during the summer of 2024 (title and details TBD)

  • Other projects as needed

 

All performances will be performed in their original language as fully staged productions and are paid opportunities performed in the Oklahoma City metro area.  Rehearsal periods are approximately 2 to 3 weeks in length.  No roles have been cast at this point.

There is no charge to schedule in-person auditions or submit video auditions.

We request three audition selections.  Ideally, these would include one Italian aria, one German aria, and one English-language aria.

We may hear artists in ad hoc auditions throughout the year. Please use our contact form to request more information and submit materials.

Due to limitations with obtaining visas for international artists, we can only consider those who have US citizenship, a US work permit, or currently hold a US visa that allows work.
