Education is a major part of Painted Sky Opera's mission. We are excited to introduce children to opera and the classical singing voice by bringing educational programs about opera into K-12 schools. To schedule a program at your school, please contact us!
Operatic Introduction Program.
Our main educational program introduces students to opera in a fun and exciting way. Students get to hear professional opera singers do what they do best, while having the opportunity to try out opera for themselves. Can easily be scaled for large or small groups and is appropriate for any grade of students.
Vocal Health and Technique Program.
Designed for high school choir classrooms, this instructional program is led by our Executive Director, Dr. Barbara DeMaio, and teaches students how to use their voice more effectively and safely.
Vocal Science Program.
Designed for anyone who is interested in how we make sound as humans, this instructional program is led by our Executive Director, Dr. Barbara DeMaio, and connects the art of singing with the biology behind how it works.
Opera singer concerts and masterclasses.
During production periods, our artists are available for masterclasses and performances at high schools and colleges. These performances and masterclasses may require an extra fee for the singers and pianist.
